OPPOSE HB 1080 – Will Allow Illinois Cities to Ban ANY Breed of Dog

By Sloane Quealy-Miner

HB 1080 will allow Illinois cities to ban ANY breed of dog. Illinois state law currently prohibits cities/counties from passing breed-specific laws but if Rep. John E. Bradley has his way Illinois will remove the ban on classifying “vicious” dogs based on breed. This means any city council could decide that chihauhuas, spaniels or poodles were uniformly “vicious” and outlaw them. If this ill-conceived bill passes, any well-mannered pet could be seized and killed simply because of its appearance. 1. State Farms 2011 insurance claims and total money paid.

    California 527 $20.3 million
    Illinois 309 $10.0 million
    Texas 219 $5.1 million
    Florida 157 $5.1 million
    New York 133 $6.1 million

LOL 4 of the most populated states. And Illinois :) If they remove the line from the law, then insurance companies can discriminate.. And you will never even notice :D $$$$$$$

Its all about the money. Insurance companies want your money but they don’t want to pay for Pit Attacks.
