WHERE: Freeway Dog Park is on Rockaway Freeway between B81st and B83rd

 Come meet Cindy! She was dumped outside of a bodega in a very bad section of Far Rockaway at 2AM. The people who ran the bodega were feeding this baby bread until one of our rescuers  were alerted and took her into their apartment at 3AM the same morning. The next day Christine rushed Cindy to the emergency room where she remained for days as she was extremely sick and malnourished. Now she is ready for her forever home.

Come meet Charlene! She was abandoned inside a vacant rundown house with no way out. Christine heard her cries and rescued her. Now she needs your help to find her forever family. Charlene isn’t even two, yet she has been through so much. She is an absolute sweetie and her capacity to forgive us humans says a lot about her.

Come meet Vlad, a gentle giant who loves nothing more than to sit his 75 pound body on top of you and cuddle and kiss. Christine rescued Vlad from a vacant lot where he sat tied to a fence with an electric cord wrapped around his neck.

Come meet Friendly. His name says it all. He is just that, friendly, loving and cuddly. He is patiently waiting for his forever family to come pick him up and take him home. Christine rescued him from an abandoned house and thanks to her he has a second chance.

Come meet Lady. Two year old Lady was discarded like trash in the yard of an abandoned house. She had a padlock around her neck which was keeping her from breaking free. Christine cut her chain with bolt cutters and brought her to safety. While Lady is gentle, affectionate and friendly, shelter life is proving to be very stressful on her and she needs to find her forever home.
