B1Exactly one week apart, in the exact same spot on the evenings of Thursday, September 12th and Thursday September 19th two pittie mixes were tied up and abandoned on the Rockaway Beach Boardwalk at 81st Street.

Ashley, the first pittie that was abandoned was not found until early Friday, September 13th. By the time myself and Matt had arrived to help her the police had already picked her up. Thanks to Red Hook Dog Rescue ,who we are working with to help Ashley and place her in a loving home, she was quickly located at Brooklyn ACC.

B1Red Hook Dog Rescue immediately pulled this precious throw away mom and Matt and I were able to pick her up. Ashley is currently at our vet’s office where she has received all her shots, medicine for demodectic mange (non contagious), and plenty of love. We will also have her spayed soon of course. Ashley is just two years old, and it is evident that she has been used for breeding her entire little life. Yet despite how she has been treated in the past she has nothing but love for everyone she meets. Her favorite past times include rolling in the grass, running and jumping around in the park and giving kisses. Ashley picks up on commands very quickly and seems to enjoy learning new things. She is good with doggies and seems to be good with cats so far too.

B1The second pittie/shepherd mix that was abandoned on the boardwalk we named Billy. We are working together with Second Chance Rescue to help and place this incredibly handsome boy in a loving home. Billy is also currently at our vet’s office where he has received all his shots, as well as plenty of love.

B2At just 1 1/2 years old Billy is still very puppy like. He has a lot of energy and enjoys running around the park. He is a happy go lucky little boy and any family would be lucky to have him. Billy particularly loves head rubs and like Ashley, has nothing but love for everyone he meets. Billy is also good with doggies.

Sloane, Hi, sorry to bother you, but I tried donating through the paypal link and it is not working. I can only give 25.00 since I donate to a rescue in the area. Can I still send the donation? Amanda Date: Mon, 23 Sep 2013 22:34:42 +0000 To: watergirl73@hotmail.com
